Grand Canyon Railway Tickets

Tickets include round-trip travel, onboard entertainment, and access to the historic Grand Canyon Depot. You can choose from several travel classes, including coach, first class, and luxury dome.
Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially during holidays and peak travel seasons. The journey takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes each way, with plenty of time to explore the canyon at the destination.

Park Hours
The South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park remains open year-round, including holidays, with entrance stations accessible 24 hours daily. The Visitor Center and most park facilities operate from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM during peak season, shifting to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the off-season. From mid-March through mid-October, three free shuttle bus routes serve the South Rim. Note that the North Rim is only reachable by private vehicle.

The Inner Canyon offers sixteen hiking trails, including three regularly maintained routes, all requiring permits. Frequently Asked Questions
Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) offer mild temperatures and fewer crowds. Summer is busy but great for river trips, while winter brings snow and solitude, especially at the North Rim (closed Dec–May).
The South Rim is open year-round, easily accessible, and has more amenities. The North Rim (open mid-May to mid-Oct) is quieter, higher in elevation, and offers a more remote experience.
